Couple of culinary knives
Knife making is a little slow around here at the moment as I'm building my new workshop.
I came across these photos yesterday while replying to a post by
in which he showed us two beautiful western handled, Japanese inspired chef knives.
Both are O1 steel, the Gyuto is full tang with Richlite scales and an etched "antique" finish, while the Santoku is a hidden tang with a bog oak handle in contrasting tones and has a hand pulled satin finish.
These both went to the same customer, I called the knives the odd couple.
Love to know what you think.
Both look really clean to me!
I really like how simple and clean the handles are. They really pair well with the satin finish on the blade without overdoing anything! Great work!
really appreciate that.
My aim is to give my knives great functionality but also follow a simple form and function aesthetic.
