I recently got a simple vaccuum chamber set up and have been experimenting with different woods, and ive come across some wood given to me years ago by someone, it can barely dent with my fingernail if i push hard enough for it to hurt. Does anyone have any insight? I hope i added the photo correctly
I have no idea, but I like it! that wave pattern is pretty cool!
Sort of looks like lacewood.
That's of the suggestions someone made, it would be cool if it is. When wet/oiled it turns chocolately brown and the pattern really pops out. Someone sugtgested Macadamia nut and Gumwood too. Either way, ill throw it in the cactus juice chamber to see what happens.
Could be Leopard wood?
Could be either lacewood or leopard wood. I think Lacewood.
This is is Lacewood (panapsis spp.)
This Is Leopard wood (roupala montana)
